Thanks for the input. He served at Bergen Point L/H, starting just 5 days after his wedding, so this was either providing her with a new home or he was one of those young keepers who were promised command of their own station IF they had a wife to act as unpaid assistant, so he quick went out & found a wife. There were 3 weeks between the appointment & marraige, 1 week from marraige to reporting to Bergen Pt. The name Randolph keeps showing up in minor internet hits, with no explanations.
