According to the History of the Ingalls Family in America (p. 59), Oliver Ingalls b. 09-27-1806 was the son of Daniel Ingalls b. 05-03-1770 and Bethiah Brown. The History of the Ingalls Family also states that Bethia and Daniel were married in 1794. Oliver married Sarah "Sally" Benjamin b. 1809 from Windham and is buried in Maplewood Cemetery. I've hit a brick wall trying to find any information on Bethia. Daniel Ingalls was from Pomfret, Ct., but I don't know if he and Bethia came to Greene County with Oliver as a child, or if Oliver settled here alone. Does anyone have any information on Bethia or Daniel that might help?
