It appears that Silas Pelham died between 1870 and 1880 since I haven't been able to find him on the latter census.

The nearest place to access the 1865 and 1875 NYS census is Hudson or Albany, both roughly an hour from where I live, but I don't have a car.

Reuben Pelham, a son of either Elisha or Barzilla, appears to be in Harrison, Potter County, PA in 1880, boarding with the Victor Harrison family and working as a blacksmith.
