I found this item in the Syracuse Herald Journal of 19 Oct 1943, page 6 --
*Three Watertown boys arraigned in police court today on charges of train riding were: James Pharoah, 18, of 5 Flower Street; James E. Roach, 17, of 271 Franklin Street; and Harold J. Powell, 17, of 534 Factory Street. Judge Homer V. Walsh held them all until tomorrow for sentence after their pleas of guilty, instructing the court to have the children's parents in court tomorrow.*
I believe the James E. Roach might have been my father. If someone could find anything about this in a Watertown paper it might have more details, including the names of the parents.
I will gladly repay any costs involved.
