Seeking information on Frances L. Downs and Letta L. Downs, daughters of Hannibal Downs, 60th NY volunteers,killed at Culps Hill, Gettysburg, July 3, 1863. Their mother, Lucretia, remarried Hiram Draper in 1866 and they moved to Lowville. Both Hiram and Lucretia died in Lowville. What happened to the girls? Is there a record of marriages in the Lowville area between 1875 and 1890?
