Thank you for your reply. I have already looked at the Lowville Journal and Republican, and I did find Joseph's obit. However, although the church for the service was listed for Joseph, there is no mention of the cemetery. I tried calling the Baptist churches in the area, with no luck. Apparently the churches in Lewis county do not keep any burial records (instead the local government does). No one seems to have any records. After having spent lots of wasted money on phone calls to various officials in Lewis counties and death certificate requests to NYS DOH, I decided to try the message boards. Hopefully someone out "there" has the answer. Thanks again for your efforts - I do appreciate them!
