Who were the parents of Ann Eliza Plumb? I found one entry on the Family Search website that said her parents were Elijah Plumb and "Mariah Minx." On another website I found information that an Elijah Plumb of Lewis County, NY had married Amanda Mix, who died 1835 and he then married Ann E Heddleston. Nowhere in any of that information did I find an Ann Eliza among their children.
Ann Eliza was married to Horace R. Higby, in 1847, before the 1850 census, so I could not find her listed with her parents. I did find Elijah and Ann E. Plumb on the 1860, and Elijah is the right age to have been Ann Eliza's father, but I need some proof.
Elijah Plumb apparently had a brother, Selden Plumb; Ann Eliza (Plumb) Higby named a son Selden Plumb Higby, so there may be a connection there...naming a son after her uncle. I just need to find some proof that she is indeed the daughter of Elijah Plumb.
