There is a death notice/obit in the April 24, 1901 Lewis Co. Democrat newspaper for Eliza Ann Higby, widow of Horace. It gives her parents names as Elijah & Amanda Plumb. You can find this notice by searching for "Horace Higby" (with the quotes) in the Lewis Co. newspapers at http://news.nnyln.net/
