K Breen <looknfer@yahoo.com> Here is my compiled list of info. It's all I have:

Born: John Richard Breen, possibly born in Rochester or surrounding area, but unknown
Nickname: Dick (everyone called him Dick that I know of)
Birth date range: 1938-1944 (most probable years would be 1940-1943)
Baptism: My Aunt seems to recall my dad telling her he was baptized at Ukranian Catholic Church of the Epithany in Rochester. I'd love to get my hands on his baptism record because it might list mother/father and help during the search. I don't think they will give it.
Relatives: This is the big mystery. My mother said he was raised by his step-mother. Don't know if father was also there? What about a birth mother? No one knows the story so it seems.
Marriage to: Diane Elizabeth Johnson,
Year married: 1959-1961 (won't rule out 1958, but not likely)
Date married: July 16...I know this because it was my birth day. Mom always told me this one detail, that I was born on their wedding anniversary.
Place of Marriage: I am told N. Carolina but you never know about my mom's memory. Her younger brother says he knows they drove and it was right over the border but which border, he's not 100% sure. He thinks N. Carolina because there was some technicality
why they could not marry in NY. Two theories: my mother was underage, he was underage, both were underage, and/or also the fact that his mother (stepmother?) would not consent to the marriage. It was my mother's parents that drove them to (north carolina?) to get married.
Children: Angela A. Breen,
Kristin Lynn Breen 07/16/63 (ME)
Employment:
Parents met at Sibly, Lindsey, & Curr (now Macy's) in Rochester but I think my Dad actually worked for Gerber Foods, not Sibly's.

1964 & 1965: He was a driver for Frito Lay
1966 worked for Rochester Plumbing Supply (It may have been called All Plumbers Supply when he started but I am not sure of that). It was Rochester Plumbing Supply for as long as my Uncle can remember. My garndfather (mother's side) worked there all of his life until retirement and got my dad the job. It is a 3-4 generation family owned business and someone there would surely remember my grandfather or his name possiblywhich was Archie Johnson. They did not respond to my letter to them and if I were in NY I would try to go in and ask some questions.
NO idea how long my father ended up working there...could have been short but what if it were many "years"?
Residences:
1963 & 64, until? 252 Alphonse St. Rochester, NY
No other addresses, though my Aunt thinks he lived on or off of Atlantic Ave. after the seperation/divorce.
Divorce:
No date, just a time frame which I believe to be between 1967-1971 (within those 5 yrs. probably)

He seemed to have still been in the Rochester area in 70's & 80's from what I am told but it's not a fact. It's just my uncle trying to recall the last time he spoke to him on the phone, which was in the 80's we believe...he was still calling my uncle to ask about us and trying to get a number for us It was against my mothers wishes though, so it never happened.

John Breen was very tall 6'1-6'2. Very big blue eyes, and wore glasses.
Please contact K Breen, I am not related to her. I am only helping her find her dad. Thank you for reading this message. betty
