PUGLIESE in Rochester, NY - some changed name to GLEASON >NJ

Looking for PUGLIESE descendants of those who had settled in Rochester, Monroe County, NY about 1905-1908. Some later settled in New Jersey (southern NJ across the river from Chester, PA), and had changed their name to GLEASON. My husband's cousin is married to the grandson of Donato and Carmela PUGLIESE. They supposedly changed it because of the war and people being prejudice against Italians. The Italian last name made it hard to find a job, so they changed it.
In 1920, the family of Carmella (DiPIETRO) PUGLIESE was living at 8 Tonawanda St., Rochester, 11th WD, Monroe Co., NY. She was widowed. She had 7 sons and 1 daughter with her at the time. Carmela was about 39 years old in 1920, and It says she emigrated in 1905, yet the 1910 CENSUS said 1908. She ran a grocery store.
