Just for the fun of it - would you look for Selim Weeks born Apr. 6, 1856??
You have to love these names & I thought mine was bad!!
First wife - Maggie Grant. 2nd wife Corintha J. Rose. Married May 3, 1911. He was the only uncle my dad's siblings could remember & they loved him to death. But after his brother died in 1918, he just disappeared off the radar. Could he have gone to New York state with the others? They seem to have gathered there.
By the way, the name Canniff is actually a last name & there were a lot of them when the Loyalists came over. There's even a little village called Cannifton about 1/2 mile from the city I grew up in.
