I'm trying to find the maiden name of my 3rd-great-grandmother, Margaret, who married a Charles Richmond in the 1850s.
I found immigration records for a Margaret Wood who arrived in 1833 at the age of 3. According to a census record Margaret Richmond immigrated from Scotland at the age of 3, and her birthday was October 1829 (the arrival date was July 1833). There's a William Wood listed in the passenger list, and interestingly enough Charles and Margaret had a son, William Wood Richmond.
So...can anyone confirm that Charles Richmond married a Margaret Wood?
