Our family shows surnames for *both* CASSELMAN -and- PICKARD from the area of modern day Montgomery County (formerly Albany County), NY -- c. 1700-1800
Clearly, they knew each other -- Ludwig CASSELMAN -&- Nicolas PICKARD were among 30 men who participated in the second division of land in Stone Arabia, NY
There sons served together as minutemen in the same regiment during the revolution.
We're wondering if there was a family relationship between the CASSELMAN's and PICKARD's in this community.
