Albert H. Bruce was born in Westford, Middlesex Co., MA in b.1828 and moved with his family at age 2 to Oneida Co., NY. He was raised and educated in Oneida Co. He married Elizabeth Malvina Janes of Oneida Co. b.1827. This Janes family is well documented in the cemetery records, census records of the area. Albert and his wife left New York in the spring of 1852 for Illinois. There is a good write-up of Albert in the History of Grundy Co. IL.
Albert's parents would have left MA in 1830. The census records for the exit out of MA nor the entrance into NY have not been a great help.
