My dad was Robert Clarke born in Utica NY. His father was Kenneth Clarke, mother Louella House Clarke, she came from Germany. I have very little information on my family history. My father once told me that one of the ggg Grandmothers (?) switched our family name to Clarke from Smith (not by marriage) So, apparently the Clarkes should be Smiths. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
