I reread your posting and now am curious about the Philip Warfield/Sarah Davis children. I have Philip & Sarah in my line. Sarah is buried in Wisconsin, where she came with some of her children. I do know that there were 10 children in Philip and Sarah's family, noted in a letter by a Davis family member from the 1800's to another Davis family member. No names were mentioned in the letter. It did say the family removed to Milwaukee County Wisconsin.

I do have the following siblings identifed.

John Warfield/ married first in 1831 Caroline Unknown and then in Oct 1842 Caroline Unknown Dunham in Ontario County. Do not know maiden name of first Caroline but she is buried in Dillon Cemetery, Hopewell Ontario, New York. John married Caroline Dunham who had 2 children from the marriage to a Dunham. John & Caroline came to Mukwanago, Waukesha Cty circa 1845 after the drowning death of one of their children in Heuvelton, Ontario, NY. Here in WI John and 2Caroline had 3 more children.

Susan Warfield born abt 1804 in Mont. Cty Maryland married an Unknown LaFelle and had no children. She lived with Niece in Detroit Wayne, MI where I assume she died.

Sarah Warfield b/abt 1805 MD, married Valentine Coon and had 5 children. She is buried in Rochester, Monroe, New York.

Edmond Warfield born abt 1813 New York, (believe in Gorham where Philip appears on the census) He bought land in WI. He lived with his Mother Sarah in Vernon, Waukesha, WI in 1850. living with them was Elizabeth Warfield born about 1813 in NY. Also Edith Warfield born July 1844 in Mukwanago, Waukesha, WI. Do not know if Edmond and Elizabeth were husband and wife of if Elizabeth was Sister or Sister in law. Edmond leaves them in 1860 and in 1870 census he appears in Rochester, Olhmstead, Minnesota living with another brother and family. In 1880 census Edmond was (stopping) or visiting his niece in Llanark, Portage County, WI. I lose him after that. Do not know where he went or where he died.

Elizabeth stays in Waukesha County and dies there in 1894. Edith marries Harry Francis Speaker in July 1860 at age 16. By 1868 the Speakers are in Stanton, Montcalm, Michigan where they died.

William Warfield, born about 1816 in Ontario County, NY, married, bought land in WI in 1843 and later moved with his family to Rochester, Olhmstead, Minnesota by the 1870 census. His family continues there.

Nathan Warfield born 23 Aug 1818 in Ontario County, NY married Lucy Young. They bought land in Vernon, Waukesha, WI in 1843 and 1849. He lived and died in Vernon in 1872. His children scattered to South Dakota and Austin, Mower, Minnesota.

I have not as yet been able to find the other siblings of the Philip & Sarah Davis Warfield family. I have been looking at Charles Warfield who also lived in Gorham/Phelps area of Ontario County at the same time Philip is listed there.

We do believe that based on land transfers found on line that lands in Ontario county were transfered to some of this Warfield line from the Alexander Warfield will. Caleb Burgess is listed as transferring lands to at least 2 of the Warfield's I have mentioned.

I do know that in the early Montgomery County Maryland census that John & Ann Simpson lived on the Ellicot family holdings next door to Philip Warfield Sr and Philip Warfield Jr. It is my belief that this Philip Warfield Jr is my Philip Warfield. I just have not been able to prove that he is the son of Philip Warfiedld Sr. These 2 Philips appear in the 1810 Montgomery Maryland census right next to each other. In the 1820 census Philip Jr is living next door to Zacharriah Warfield. Philip's children in this census all fit the age ranges for the son's I have located. Then there is the fact that there is Philip Warfield in Gorham in 1820, but no date on that census. Did it occur after the Jan 1820 census in Maryland and if so is this the same Philip. It is all very confusing but this is the information that I have so far.
