The only years that an Evan Jones appears on census records in Orange Co. are 1910 & 1920. In 1910 Evan E. Jones is in Hamptonburgh, age 53, with wife Emma L. They have been married for 25 years & Emma is shown as having had no children. Evan`s occ. is bartender in a hotel. He was born in NY with parents born in Wales. In 1920 he & Emma L. are in Montgomery & his occ. is farmer. In 1900 the only couple who fit are in Turin, Lewis Co., NY. Evan E. Jones, age 43 & his wife Emma L. are living with Margaret A. Davis/Davies, a widow, age 46. Evan is listed as Margaret`s brother.
