Seeking any/all information on a JOHN JORDAN born about 1747. Not much is known other than he had a brother, Robert, and Robert came from Ireland. John arrived in Crawford, Orange Co, (Bullville) about 1767.
Census of Pensioners in year 1841 find him living alone in Walkill, Orange County, aged 93 years.
A John Jordan was buried Hopewell, town of Crawford, Orange Co, on 6/18/1844, aged 97-1-15 whom I believe to be the same
John Jordan. Buried with him is a wife, Mary who died 10/18/1832 at age of 70 years.
The fact taht there is such an age difference between John and wife, Mary, may indicate that he had wife prior to Mary.
