I have a Clark and Augustus Sturgis that show up in a 1860 census for St Clair Co Mo.Do not know if they are father/son or brothers. I have seen those first names in connection with a Sturgis/Sturges family in Orleans Co NY. Clark named two of his children Nathan and Augustus. Nathan is also a name used by the NY Sturgis. Just looking to see if any connection. I can not find any trace of Clark before his 1858 marriage in Benton Co MO. Thank you for any help. Ann
