Joseph FREELOVE & Eleanor GRAVE or GROVE were of the Town of Barre, Orleans Co., NY by 1840 census. Also, Chandler FREELOVE & Caroline Melinda PAGE were in South Barre, Orleans Co., NY by 1844-1846.
Seeking any information on FREELOVE, GRAVE or GROVE and PAGE families. Was Caroline Melinda PAGE, Indian as some in the family would suggest?
Joseph FREELOVE & family were listed in Oakfield, Genesee Co., NY in 1850 census and were in IL by 1860. They died in Clyde, Cloud Co., KS in the 1890's.
Chandler FREELOVE was "resident of Genesee Co., NY" in 1843 when he purchased land in Racine Co., WI. Went to Rochester & Waterford, Racine Co., WI, 1850 & 1860 census respectively. By 1866, the family was in Pawnee Co., NE, Caroline Melinda (PAGE) died in NE after 1866 and before 1870. 1870 Census finds Chandler FREELOVE, widower in Waukesha Co., WI and returned to Alexander, Genesee Co., NY by 1873 where he died in 1879.
