No relation. I just enjoy browsing through family Bibles up for auction on eBay and trying to connect any genealogical info provided by the seller to those that might find it interesting or worth pursuing. I am not the seller! Here is the link to what I found: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6901698608 Based on my transcription of photos provided by the seller: Charles Burns, b. 3 Sep 1798 -wife: Sarah Hoffman, b. 13 Jul 1804 (sister to Moses Hoffman?) -children: 1. Alexander Morgan Burns, b. 16 Feb 1825 2. Nancy Ann Byrnes, b. 13 Aug 1826 -married 4 Jul 1847 to Josiah L. Lawton, b. 10 Sep 1826 3. C??? Burns, b. 21 May 1828 4. D??? Ann Burns, b. 22 Aug 1830 It appears the name was originally written in the Bible as BYRNES and somebody latter added a sheet of paper with the names written as BURNS. It also appears that Sarah, b. 13 Jul 1804, was (to me) written as HOWARD and I do not see how it could be Hoffman, which is what is written on the included sheet put in the Bible. Other info written in Bible that I could make out: ?? Lawton, b. 30 Apr 1854 Elias Rugean Lawton, b. 21 Aug 1862 Mention of Sara E. Lawton Mention of Clarendon, Orleans Co, NY In a quick census search, it would appear that Josiah & Nancy (Burns) Lawton are living in Clarendon, Orleans Co, NY in 1860. Note: not too far away from their household is a family of HOWARD and BYRNS Notify Administrator about this message?
