Hi Bob:

Yes, there where two William Freeman living in the area. The Second one was the Son of Asher Freeman (1774-1853). Asher owned over 1,000 acres in the Town of Royalton, Middleport area just over the line from Orleans County in Niagara County. I do not have any additional information on William.

This information was obtained from the Middleport Web page at www.teapothollow.com/middleport and then go to "history." You may wish to check this site out since it list both Asher wifes and his 11 children's names.

You may want to contact the Middleport Library, they should have more information about the Freeman Family.
