Searching for info on the ancestors of Mary Adelia or Adeline Oakley, born April 09, 1858, and died January 21, 1909 in Fulton N.Y. She married JOSEPH MONROE BLODGETT November 18, 1875, son of AMASA BLODGETT and NANCY MASON. He was born January 03, 1854 in Gilbert Mills, New York.

Platt B. Oakley b. 1810 in NY was her father and Mary CHAPPEL/CHAPPELL b. 1815 was her mother. He is listed as "Platt" on the 1860 Hastings township, Oswego Co., NY census:

Platt B. Oakley 50 yrs. (b. 1810) born NY – Hotel Keeper
Mary 45 yrs. (b. 1815) born NY
Alonzo 17 yrs. (b. 1843) born NY
Ellen 14 yrs. (b. 1846) born NY
Platt B. 5 yrs. (b. 1855) born NY m. Rosetta; moved Ohio & finally to Albion, MI.
Mary A. 2 yrs. (b. 1858) born NY

I found him on the 1850 Hastings township, Oswego Co., NY census (page 278) listed as:

"Peter B. Oakley" 40 yrs. Still listed as the Inn Keeper.
Mary         35 yrs
Caroline        13 yrs
Alonzo        7 yrs
Ellen         4 yrs
George.         2 yrs

The Pennellville Cemetery, Co. Rt. 54, Town of Schroeppel, Oswego Co., NY listing shows:

Oakley, Platt B. d. April 7, 1863 ae. 51 yrs
Oakley, Mary, his wife, d. December 8, 1892 ae. 76 yrs
Oakley, George B., son, d. January 27, 1851 ae. 3 yrs
Oakley, Caroline M. d. April 28, 1860 ae. 21 yrs

The "1895 Landmarks Book OF Oswego County", Page 550, Chapter XXIV, "The Town of Hastings", states, "The first hotel was erected by Orson Emmons and Peter Neal, who were succeeded by P. B. Oakley; a subsequent proprietor was Charles C. Burghart."

Who were Platt or Peter Oakley of Hasting's ancestors?

Also searching for my ggg grandmother, Mary (Chappell) Oakley b. 1815 in NY. She out lived her husband, who died in 1863. On the 1870 census, I believe she is living with her brother Darius Chappell and his family. Her daughter, my gg grandmother Mary "Adeline or Adelia" is living there as well. There are half a dozen or so Chappells in the cemetery there, and I believe that Edward Chappell b. 1781 could have been her father.

Also looking to flesh out some more details on my gg grandfather Joseph Monroe BLODGETT and his father Amasa Blodgett b. 23 Jul 1816 d. 11 Jul 1883 in Oswego co., NY. He was married to Nancy Jane MASON b. 28 Jan 1823 d. 2 Oct 1904 in Fulton. I have Nancy's (8) line as Almond (7) Russell (6) Philip (5) Russell (4) Pelatiah (3) Sampson (2) Robert (1).
