I came across a Civil War Listing for a Benjamin Hastings:

Name: Benjamin Hastings(Living in Sandy Creek, Oswego Co., NY)
Birth Yr: 1832
Birthplace: Frankfurt, Herkimer, Co., NY
Parents: Henry Hastings & Laura Harvey
Unit: 184 Infantry
Company: G
Occupation: Farmer

Everything fit with your information except for his mother's maiden name. You listed Harid on your postings yet the Civil War records listed her as Harvey.

I have no relation to any of the above but thought you might be interested.
