Nelson G. Adams (1863-1919) married 1883 to Amanda Jane Tompkins (1863- ??) in Kent. In 1900 Amanda, "married", was living without her husband or children but with her father and sister in P.V. The census indicated Amanda had 5 children, 4 surviving. Casper (1890-1897) is the child who died. Where were the other children in 1900?? In 1910 Nelson Adams was living alone in P. V.
Nelson G. Adams aka George Nelson Adams is buried Peekskill Hollow but Amanda Adams not there.
There was an obit for Edward Cyril Adams (1894 -1953) which mentioned mother "the late Amanda Adams" but father's name not mentioned. Is Amanda Jane (Tompkins) Adams the mother of Edward C.?? Amanda, wife of Nelson G. Adams is the only Mrs. Amanda Adams known.
This was obviously a dysfunctional family. Does anyone know where the children were in 1900? Or where Amanda Adams is buried? Details?
Need help in filling in the blanks on the Putnam Co. Adams?
