You are probably already aware that Putnam County was formed out of Dutchess County in 1812. According to "Settlers of the Beekman Patent" by Frank Doherty www.beekmansettlers.com there was an Ebenezer Gage who was in a 1758 muster in Dutchess County - he served in the 7th Regiment of the Dutchess County Militia. The Colonel of this Regiment was "Henry Ludenton" per New York in the Revolution. Hope this helps. Notify Administrator about this message?
