I am searching for information on John Blake, a letter carrier in Manhattan that spent at least part of his youth in Carmel. He is mentioned in the Putnam County Courier on these dates:
*1891-01-02 Mentions his marriage to Charlesetta Barton in 1890
*1894-07-27 "John Blake formerly of Carmel"
*1896-09-18 "John Blake formerly of this village"
*1898-02-25 Attending the anniversary of Carmel Literary Union was "John Blake of New York"
*1898-07-29 "Guest of Under Sheriff Hazen"
Vitals:
b. Feb 05, 1863
d. Jun 08, 1935
m. Apr 30, 1890 to Charlesetta Barton "in NYC"

Parents were William Blake (b. England) and Mary Park (b. Ireland) according to his death certificate but I have not located them in the US Census.

I can find no relation to Wm Blake the publisher of that era.

All replies appreciated!
