Hopefully someone out there can help me on this one.
It may be a shot in the dark.
I just learned that a distant cousin of mine was a politician in NYC. I'm not sure what type of politician or how involved he was, but i figure there must be some documentation on him.
His name was Joe Ryan of Queens. born sometime in the 1880's or 1890's. So I'm guessing he was involved in politics during the 1930's, 1940's.
So I'm wondering if there's a database or a book that lists all the politicians that were from NYC??
