There was a broadside printed at some time between February and May 1893. It started with: "NOTICE In Relation to the INCORPORATION OF CORONA in the Town of Newtown, in the County of Queens and State of New York. We, the undersigned Electors and Land Owners, residing in the bounds of said proposed Village..." The broadside contained the location of the election booth, date and time for the election, proposed expenditures for the first year after incorporation, and the amount of taxes to the raised, the bounds and description of the proposed village, a reference to the surveyor's map made February 1893, and the printed names of the supporters of incorporation - among them was Hugo Kuppillas, with this spelling. The wording of your query suggests that you saw a copy of the broadside or a copy published in one of the Queens newspapers in the winter or spring of 1893. Kupillas during the 1890s and early 1900s was an insurance agent living in Corona, but working for at least some of this time (perhaps all the time) on West 42d Street in Manhattan.
