Oyster Bay/Hempstead & Queens - HELP

I am desperately looking for information on two relations. The first is David Van de Water (probably spelt Vandewater, though frequently abbreviated in Hempstead Town Records as V.D. Water).

David was born 30 Sep 1745 probably in or around Oyster Bay. He died 19 Oct 1816 in North Hempstead and is buried in St. George's.

I am anxiously seeking information on his parents. Am trying to locate a Death record. I ahve contacted St.George, but they did not offer any assistance what so ever.

Any help here would be tremendously appreciated.
