Hi Linda,
My Great Grandfather John Russell Came from Ireland, Don't know where. Family say's County Cork somewhere,I just don't know. He was a cooper.( made barrel's)for shipping.
parents names were Michael & Margaret Ryan.
John came to the U.S in 1887. Parents came in 1891. Both settled in Long Island City,Queens.John had a sister,Mary,Who married James Greene in Great Britan.I think all the Russell's are related somhow down the line,but where? E-Mail me at DigEmUp315 @ aol.com and talk more,ok.
