My great-grandparents Martin ZEIDLER and Helene Hermoine Hildegaard HIRSEMANN raised a family of eight children in Maspeth, Queens in the late 1800's. Martin ZEIDLER developed land in Maspeth and named several streets after his daughters Emma, Elfrieda (or Ellie), Martha and Helen. His sons names were William, Martin, Chester, and Edwin. By the time of the depression the streets were re-named as "number" streets as they are today.

I would love to obtain a map showing the streets with his daughter's names or any leads on how to research his real estate work. I plan to research the New York State Census as well as City Directories to get information on his home address. General recommendations are welcome.
