Town of Westfield in Queens 1870 ?

Looking for information about the town or village of Westfield. I think it was in Queens Co. (now Nassau Co. ) in 1870. May have been incorporated into the town of Hempstead in the Late 1870's or 1880's +. Not Sure. Any info. a big help.
