My Great grandparents, Julius and Sitta Fischer, owned a realty company in NYC (probably in Queens) called Attis (Sitta reversed) Realty in the 1900 to 1920ish timeframe and either owned or worked at a Hannover Novelty Company after coming here from somewhere in Germany. I have little information about them other than they came to this country in the 1880s. Sitta may have been from France, and her maiden name was either Engel or Engle. My great grandfather's naturalization papers are dated 1891, and I know my grandfather, Albert Edward, was born in Germany(his application for a social security number says Goettingen) in 1879. I would like to know the location of the realty company or anything I could find out about any of them or their business. My grandfather died in the mid 40's, and my father knew very little about their background. Information about NY City is sketchy at best in Tennessee, so I would greatly appreciate any help anyone cares to give.
