Queens My father's family has not been easy to track! I recently discovered that my grandfather's name was initially Redmond Augustus Kelley instead of Raymond A Kelley. His date of birth is 1890 to 1951. He married a Mary Hinck in 1913. My grandfather's father was Peter Kelley who came here from Ireland, fought for the Union until discharged. Closest connection found is a Peter Kelley in the 37th NY Irish Rifles that mustered out in 1863. He returned to Ireland and fought against the British in what capacity I do not know, but he was chased out with a price on his head. When he returned to the United States, on the same ship was his future wife, Genievere_______ maiden unknow. I have a Calvary Cemetery document that shows here as Jennie Kelley. To date I have not been able to discover Jennie's maiden. Any help will be appreciated. Jennie ran a Boarding House in Queens near the Brooklyn County line.
