Greater Ridgewood Historical Society has following in their surname card file, extracted mostly from newspapers: GRIEBEL - Arthur M., WWII service (1944); Burkard G., obit (1975); Frederick, suicide (1904); Gus, engagement (1938); Rudolph L., death notice (1997). LANGHANS - Elsie A., biographical data on husband Hugo Leonard Laux (1936); Marie E., marriage license (1931) SCHERM - Emilie, will/estate info (1927) In addition to the card file, there are some references in their "House & Street Books" to these families, taken from newspaper accounts, directories, church bulletins, etc. Most of these would be in the 1890-1930 and 1950-1990 periods. I did not have time to check the multi-volume sets of books containing biog. & genealogical info that is too extensive to keep on 4x6 cards, but I will check on my next visit there in a few days. If you are interested in any or all of this info, e-mail me direct - gmiller@queenslibrary.org - and provide your mailing address and I'll get copies to you. There may be a charge for copies & postage, but it shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars. Notify Administrator about this message?
