Elizabeth Roe & Samuel Young in Flushing - 1870

I am interested in finding information about Samuel Young and Elizabeth Roe who were married about 1838 in Flushing, New York. Their parents' names are unknown.

He was born about 1810 and she was born about 1820 in Flushing, New York.

The couple farmed on Long Island in the 1840s, moved to Maine in the 1850s and returned to Flushing, New York, by 1880 where Elizabeth Roe Young was enumerated as a widow.

I would especially be interested in the 1870 census data for this couple (or for Elizabeth Roe Young who may have been a widow in 1870) and in the 1900 census data for Elizabeth Roe Young (who may have been living with her spinster daughter Phoebe Young.)

Samuel Young & Elizabeth Roe had the following children: Sarah Jane; Margaret A.; Mary E.; Phoebe E.; Samuel W.; John H.; Edward M.; James E.; Frederic W.; Hannah F.; and Elizabeth M. Young.

Any information on this family would be sincerely appreciated.

Tom Brown
