Hi Barbara,

In the 1880 and 1870 census, one of the Harbes (Herberts) neighbors was Samuel Powell. I pulled up 1860 census and found him and checked a few pages before and after him but didn't find my family. Since Gerard Harbes was supposed to have been imprisoned some time around 1857+-, I tried to see if there were any listings just for Catherine and any children but didn't see any. My system is pretty slow and compuserve doesnt use mrSids for images. I may have by passed the names. If you do run across them let me know. That would be great. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. Mandy
