I'm looking for information on the Penny family of Pittstown and/or Troy, NY. I have a Tryphina or possibly a Cynthia Penny b. abt 1811 Troy, Rensselaer County, New York who married James R. Beatty / Beattey / Beetley b. abt 1808. Their daughter Louisa Jane Beetley was my 2nd great grandmother. I note that there is a long history for an Edward Penny in Pittstown, NY. One born about 1742 and possibly a second Edward Penny born about 1780-1785. Any information would be of value.
