Have you checked census records for these people? Both a Frank Farr & a George Waterman are on the 1920 census in Troy. Frank Farr, age 19, is with his parents Alfa & Mary J. in Ward 5. George is with wife Mary & kids, William, Helen, George & Anna Mae in War 4. George gives his parents place of birth as Germany. I can`t find him on the 1900 census but on the 1880 in Postenkill, Rensselaer Co. there is a George Waterman, 4, with his parents Quinibert & Sarlina both born in Germany.
You have the death dates for both men. If you get their death records the parents names may be on them.
