You are of course not from the area, and the person who contributed the information to FamilySearch is obviously not from the area either. Anything you find on FamilySearch always has to be verified elsewhere! The information is usually contributed by what one would call "amateurs" when it comes to history. There is no such place as a "Lansingburg"! The town was Lansingburgh -- with an "h" at the end. Lansingburgh was annexed by the city of Troy in 1900. People continue, however, to call it Lansingburgh, although you often hear it called North Troy.

In New York State, divorce records are sealed for 100 years, after which time they become public records.
