I am researching a great grand mother whose death certificate states she was born in Kinderhook, NY. Her name Charlotte (unknown) Hall born January 3, 1804(?) died September 5, 1888 in Brooklyn. Home in 1870: Brooklyn Ward 11, Kings, New York (living with daughter Frances Boyd in 1870) - Death Certificate states both parents were born in "New York State" and that Charlotte was a resident of Brooklyn for 40 years. Also states that she was being buried in Albany, NY. Married to Van Rensalaer Hall, born 1804, died September 30, 1857...buried at Cypress Hills National Cemetary. V.R. Hall BTSN US Navy Buried at: Section 6 Site 12210 Cypress Hills National Cemetery 625 Jamaica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208 US Navy Boatswain, 1836 ----- 1850 Census New York County, NW 10th Ward NYC Dwelling 408, Family 909 Charlotte age 44, NY Maria age 5, NY Frances age 1, NY ----- 1860 Census Kings County, NY, Brooklyn, Ward 11, District1 page 142, dwelling 604, family 1219 Charlotte Hall, 50, NY Head Virginia age 15, NY Frances age 11, NY Peter age 2, NY -- Also Note: spelling on 1850 census is Van Rensalan Hall I have been unable to find out Charlotte's maiden name and any additional information on Van Rensalaer Hall who was a marinier.
