Searching for information on Raymond Perry Lewis and Susan M. (Hakes) Lewis who were known to be living in the Petersburg area in 1840-1850. Raymond was born around 1812 and Susan was born around 1818. It is not known if the couple married there or were originally from there, but it is believed that they may have had a few children there: Mary Jane Lewis (who was born around 1842), Perry C. Lewis (born in 1843), Malona V. Lewis (born in 1847) and Ida (born around 1851). Any info would be wonderful as I live in England and only have access to records that are available on Ancestry.com. Anyone who might have access to marriage or birth records in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
