It`s doubtful you will find any records, other than possibly church records, for the time period of the Lewis` marriage & births of their children. NY state did not require birth/death records until 1881. You might try the Rensselaer Co. Historical Society: http://www.rchsonline.org/ or the Rensselaer Co US Genweb site: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyrensse/
On the Genweb site you`ll find the 1855 state census transcription for Petersburg. It shows Raymond P. Lewis & family. He stated he was born in Delaware Co., NY & Susannah, his wife, in Rensselaer Co., as were the children.
Ancestry.com has the book "Randall Lewis of Hopkinton, Rhode Island, and Delaware County, New York, and some of his descendants" It shows that Raymond Perry Lewis was a son of Caleb Lewis, b. 1782 & Catherine Hall. No further record for Raymond. He is on pg. 102 of this book.
