Looking for location of Shank's Village. It was the place
where many grad students of Columbia University lived. I
remember, as a three year old, in 1946 living in a small
white cottage type dwelling. We slept in hospital beds.
Dad took the ferry and then the subway to classes. There
were several of these little houses and in the livingroom
was some type of heating stove. Would appreciate any
help to locate where this Shank's Village was - I think
I somehow have the idea that it's on some old military
grounds??? Thanks, Penny
