I am researching the WAMBOLD branch of my family and am looking for the given name or any other information on a Male GORMAN b. abt. 1922 Staten Island.
Florence WAMBOLD, daughter of Jacob Oliver WAMBOLD & Marion SKERRITT of Staten Island, was apparently married on Staten Island sometime after the 1920 census to a man surnamed GORMAN.
Whether divorce or death happened with husband Unknown GORMAN, I can't say except that Florence remarried on 2 Jun 1928, Richmond County MC # 361 to Arthur WALZ. Florence's surname is given for this remarriage as GORMAN.
On the 1930 census for Staten Island Florence appears with new husband Arthur. Included in the household is a son b. abt. 1922 who is shown on the census as being named Gorman WALZ and listed as a stepson to head of the household Arthur.
Since I know that Florence's surname at remarriage was GORMAN the given name of the boy, "Gorman", appears to be another of those numerous enumerator errors we are all familiar with.
Does anyone know of the family of Arthur WALZ and Florence nee WAMBOLD aka widow?/divorcee? GORMAN of Staten Island, Richmond Co, New York?
What was Male GORMAN's b. abt. 1922 given name??
Did Male GORMAN have any WALZ half siblings?
