Looking for family and information on Maria Smith, wife of David Wanamaker. David and Maria were married by the Justice of the Peace on 31 Oct 1835 in the Township of Franklin, Bergen County, NJ. Like so many others, Maria's age varied with the different census enumerations. 1840 - over 20 and under 30; 1850 - age 42; 1860 - age 50. Though I haven't found a death record it appears Maria died between July 1860, when the census was taken, and 28 Nov 1863, when David married Catherine Moscor (Masker?) Terhune, widow of Garret Terhune, in the Wyckoff Reformed Church, Bergen County. One possibility is a Mirya Smith, daughter of Edward and Anny (Annetje) Smith, who was born 1811, Franklin Township, Bergen County, NJ. She was baptised 5 Jan 1812 in the New Prospect Methodist Episcopal Church (Waldwick). Unfortunately, all I have is someone with the right name, in the right place and at the right time. And quite few connections to various people in the parish. If someone has anything in their records that may help me to find out who Maria was, and who she belonged to, I would be really really grateful.
