Selinus/Salinus CONKLIN in Tappan NY

I am trying to find parents for Salinus Conklin. He
married Jane Ann Bartow (dau. of Dr. Morris Bartow of
Tappan). He was a school teacher and then I believe a
grocer. Jane Ann and Salinus had no children but raised
their nieces and nephews off and on during the 1850s
and 1860s. Anyone know of this man and who he was related
to?
