Since my original post in 2006 I have learned a great deal about the Smith Family:
Lambert Smith b 24Sep1712 d 30Mar1764 m Johanna Hardenburgh.
Sons of Lambert and Johanna include Capt. Aury Smith and John Lambert Smith b 16Mar1744 d 22Aug1797 m Elizabeth Remsen.
Sons of John Lambert and Elizabeth include Lambert J., George and John J. who may have been the witnesses to McKenzie's will. They would have been nephews of Capt. Smith.
