Mary and Michael lived in New City, Rockland Co, NY and had 10 children; Leonard, 1859-1943, Julia Ann Gross, 1861-1919, Elizabeth Stevens, 1862-1951, Sophie Cole, 1865-1955, Mary Semsey, 1867-1897, John, 1869-1962, Louis, 1871-1960, Anna Christina Semsey, 1875-1917, Minnie Snyder, 1884-1919, and George, 1887-1910.
Leonard Singer, 1859-1949, married Anna Christina Phoebe Schultz, 1868-1950, on 26Apr1886 in Germonds Church.
Julia Ann Singer, 1861-1919, married John Andrew Gross, 1856-1924, on 27Jul1880 in Germonds Church. Julia and John are the parents of Elizabeth Daum b1881, Mary C. Peters b1884, Will, 1890-1891, Sophia Durie, 1893-1987, Annie C. Bianco, 1895-1990, John Andrew Jr, 1897-1984, and Julia May, 1905-1909.
Johannes (John Andrew) Gross Sr is a son of Conrad Gross, 1810-1873, and Anna Christine Phlainig Gross, 1817-1905, and brother of Jacob E. Gross, 1848-1933, Elizabeth Gross Schultz, 1850-1931, Henry Gross, 1854-1864, Catherine Gross, 1855-1864, and Adolpus Fredrich Gross, 1858-1964. Three Gross siblings died in Oct 1864 from diphtheria as stated on the summary page of the 1865 state census.
Elizabeth Gross Schultz married Johann Frederich Christoph Schultz, 1849-1922, on 12Mar1869 at Germonds Church, Rockland Co, NY. They are the parents of Elizabeth Schultz Miller, 1873-1962, grandparents of Dorothy Miller Kischel, 1911-1995, and great grandparents of Dorothy Kischel Daidone b1930, Mary Kischel Wedral b1931, and Winifred Kischel Larsen b1933.
